Kimberly Smith, CPA* is Director of Wealth Management at The Capital Group. Before moving to Madison, Kim was a Tax Manager at Deloitte in Chicago. At Deloitte, she practiced financial planning, trust administration, and tax preparation for high net worth individuals, trusts, and family offices.
At The Capital Group, Kim oversees client investment portfolios, directs financial modeling, and manages client service. A particularly rewarding part of her job is helping clients make gifts of appreciated stock to charities and setting up charitable foundations. Kim supervises tax loss harvesting to minimize avoidable taxable events in portfolios. She also interfaces with attorneys, CPAs, trustees, and banks to complete special projects at our clients’ behest.
When not at the office, Kim teaches scuba diving and is active in the Sun Prairie community where her son and daughter attend high school.
